You heard it on Giagantor, this is the beginning of super science as we know it. Rob Baur of Oregon has created Tomacco by fusing the roots of tobacco and tomato. For those of you who are not familiar with the term Tamacco comes from the Simpsons episode ‘E-I E-I D’oh’ (episode 231, first aired November 1999) Homer invents giant tomacco plants that taste disgusting but are completely addictive.
Baur sent a press release to local news stations thinking they might find the story entertaining. Soon after the press release people at the Simpson’s caught wind of his discovery and invited him and his family to tour the Simpson’s studio. Baur stated that his intention was to poke fun at the tobacco industry after gaining inspiration from the episode.
I thought, wow, you could grow tobacco with no nicotine and prove the lie that people smoke for the flavour. They’re smoking for this insecticide, nicotine
What next mushrooms that make you grow?
